Tank Equipment

DCM manufactures and supplies tank safety equipment for the bulk liquid storage tanks or tank installations and to assist in the specification and use of tank fittings and related equipment. Topics include operational considerations associated with the safe storage of flammable and volatile liquids to achieve optimum efficiency and maximum protection.

Our product offering covers Vapor and Flame Solutions as well as liquid level monitoring.

Bursting Disk

ONE Source for ALL your Rupture Disc needs:

EMERGENCY PRESSURE MANHOLE COVER (EPM)

The primary function of this device is protection against costly tank rupture. This manhole cover provides emergency venting for abnormal internal pressure beyond the capability of the pressure relief valve. It also provides easy access for tank inspection.

Kubler Level Gauge

The bypass level indicator forms an integral part of a pressure vessel. A chamber is mounted on the side of a tank or container by means of two process connections. This direct connection ensures that the level in the chamber corresponds precisely to the level of the liquid in the tank or container (communicating pipes). Inside the bypass chamber is a cylindrical float with a built-in magnetic system. The concentrated magnetic field produced by the permanent magnet gives a precise reading for the level of liquid in the chamber. A signal is transmitted by the magnetic field through the wall of the chamber to an externally mounted indicator, as well as to recording and switchgear elements.

LECORE Deflagration Flame Arrestors
  • For installation into pipes, for the protection of vessels and components against deflagration of flammable liquids and gases.
  • Bi-directionally working in pipes, whereby an operating pressure of 1.2 bar abs. and an operating temperature of 60 °C must not be exceeded.
  • The distance between a potential ignition source and the flame arrester must not exceed 50 times the inner pipe diameter

lecore emergency pressure vent

Lecore Series EPV Emergency Pressure Vents are designed to provide emergency relief capacity beyond that furnished by the operating vent on the tanks. The Series EPV vents do not provide vacuum relief. Vacuum relief must be supplied by independent operating vents.

LECORE End Of Line Flame Arrestor

As breather/venting safety device incorporating an explosion proof flame arrester element for installation on top of storage tanks, tank access covers or breather pipes. The breather allows the unimpeded flow of gases out to atmosphere and air into the tank/pipe thereby preventing vacuum locks whilst ensuring provision of a permanent and reliable protection against any flashback into the tank/pipe. This device is not permitted to be installed in enclosed areas.

Approved for all materials of the explosion group IIB3 with a maximum experimental safe gap (MESG) ≥ 0.65.

LOCKABLE GAUGE HATCH DOC

The Dip hatch main function is to allow easy access to storage tanks while controlling vapor losses. Lecore Dip Hatches are supplied with “O” ring seats in nitrile rubber for easy maintenance.

Automatic Tank Gauging

Varec

Float and tape gauges, also known as “automatic tank gauges”, have been in the marketplace for over 90 years. This tried and true method works by using a large float inside the tank attached to a negator spring via a perforated tape. The negator spring provides constant tension, which balances the float on the liquid. The liquid level in the tank is displayed on the gauge counter or indicated on the gauge board.

VAREC - DCM CATALOGUE 6 PAGES

Float and tape gauges, also known as “automatic tank gauges”, have been in the marketplace for over 90 years. This tried and true method works by using a large float inside the tank attached to a negator spring via a perforated tape. The negator spring provides constant tension, which balances the float on the liquid. The perforated tape engages pins on a sprocket wheel that, in turn, drives the counter assembly. Alternatively, when a gauge board is used to display level, the negator spring is replaced by a counter weight system. The liquid level in the tank is displayed on the gauge counter or indicated on the gauge board.
